Cruising offers one of the most exciting, varied, fun and economical ways
to see the world. Whether you prefer a large luxury liner, a private yacht with
your own captain or anything in between, we'll assist you in finding the ship,
the itinerary and the amenities that best fit your preferences, your personality
and your pocketbook.
Large, Luxury Ships (1,000 + passengers) - Because there
are many cruise lines with ships that provide excellent food, outstanding service,
interesting itineraries, top-notch entertainment, first-run movies, classes of
all types (crafts, golf, dancing, cooking, computer, etc.), and a wide variety
of shore excursions, the options can be confusing and overwhelming. We know the
differences among cruise lines and ships. We know, for example, which ones have
the best programs for children, which of the cruise lines cater to a more elite
market, which are the fun ships, etc. We'll help you find the one that is perfect
for you.
Mid-Size, Luxury Ships (100 - 1,000 passengers) - The mid-size
luxury ships offer the best of both worlds. They provide the best in gourmet
cuisine, elegant service and outstanding amenities while catering to a smaller
numbers of passengers. If you prefer a more intimate cruising experience and
want to avoid crowds when your ship is in port, this is the option you'll enjoy.
Small Ships (Fewer than 100 passengers) - There are a number
of small cruise lines that serve specific needs and interests as well as specific
geographic areas. These smaller ships are often able to cruise in areas where
the larger ships can't. This is particularly true of such areas as the glacial
bays in Alaska or along the coast line of Costa Rica, among the Galapagos or
Fiji Islands. While the smaller ships may lack some of the amenities of the larger
ships they frequently allow for more flexible scheduling, allowing passengers
to stay longer at a specific place to experience and enjoy some unexpected delights
such as whales, dolphins or penguins frolicking alongside the ship or a mother
bear with her cubs.
Sailing Ships - Want something different? Enjoy the thrill
of cruising on a ship that glides through the ocean by the power of the wind
moving gorgeous white sails. These ships are smaller than the mid-size cruising
ships but they still offer some of the amenities and services you would enjoy
on those ships.
Barefoot Windjammers - If you don't like dressing for dinner
and want to travel in casual style, then barefoot cruising is for you. Pack your
sandals, your shorts and your bathing suit and you're ready to go.
River Cruises - The road to adventure may not be a road at
all - it could be a river! Whether you want to stay near home and travel the
rivers of America or adventure through the waterways of Europe, Asia or South
America, there are wonderful river cruising options available. Cruise on a paddle
wheeler and enjoy theme cruises of all types (Big Band, Historical themes, Gardens
of the River, Kentucky Derby, Fall Foliage and much more) or explore famous world
sites from the comfort of your riverboat. You'll pack and unpack only once!
